  1. 01 Source with an RFQ 0:00

RFQs let a manufacturer on a plan source materials and components from several suppliers at once. Research them in Material Search, then open RFQs under Transactions and start a new one.

  2. 02 New RFQ 0:13

A new RFQ has a title, a due date and a delivery state. Each line says what it asks for: here, Material, a unidirectional polyethylene tape, with the specification, the quantity and its unit. Nothing is sent until you send it.

  3. 03 Choose suppliers 0:28

Choose suppliers. ArmorList suggests companies the directory classifies for that kind of work, with the reasons, and you decide who is invited. Send, and each company is notified by email.

  4. 04 Compare quotes 0:41

Quotes are sealed: no supplier sees another's price. Compare them side by side, with lead time, validity, documents, and what the named sources said about each supplier. ArmorList does not rate them.

  5. 05 Award 0:55

Award one. The winner is told, and the others are told not selected, without the price. The award becomes an order in Quotes and Orders, where you add the PO number and follow the shipment.

  6. 06 Source what you build with 1:07

Source what you build with, from the people who make it.
