The credential

Procurement Ready

One record an agency can clear you on: your identity, registrations, contracts, certificates, export controls and a named contact, reviewed and signed by our team, never by anyone from the company itself.

It is earned, never bought. No plan buys it and no advertising changes it. Once granted, general listings show you first and buyers can filter on it; a search for a specific name or model still puts that match first. You earn it by completing the steps below.

The IA-PR1 mark, with its own number on every credential
How it works

Six steps, in this order

  1. Choose a planThe pathway is part of Professional and every plan above it. The credential is earned through our review, and general listings show Procurement Ready suppliers first; a search for a specific name or model still puts that match first.
  2. Claim your companyWe confirm you control it, starting with a work email on its domain.
  3. Get VerifiedOur team confirms your identity and key attributes against official sources.
  4. Complete the 12 requirementsEach one shows as done or missing on your pathway screen, so you always know what is left.
  5. Submit for reviewThe record is reviewed and signed by our team, never by anyone from the company itself. A check read more than 7 days earlier is read again first. You hear back by email either way.
  6. Receive the credentialThe IA-PR1 mark and its number go on your profile, valid for 12 months.
What the review checks

The 12 requirements, and the 6 checks

Nothing else is required. NIJ listing is not one of them: your products are listed with whatever standard they are tested to, and NIJ listings link on their own.

  • Federal Tax ID (EIN)Kept private. It is never shown on your public profile. A company registered outside the US gives its national company registration number instead.
  • Unique Entity ID (SAM.gov)The identifier of your SAM.gov registration.
  • CAGE codeYour CAGE code, or your NCAGE code if the company is registered outside the US.
  • Capabilities statementA document a buyer can put in the file.
  • Key suppliersWhere your materials and components come from.
  • Primary NAICSThe code you declared. We never assign one for you.
  • Socioeconomic statusYour set-aside categories, or "No known set-asides".
  • A named procurement contactA person, with a name and an email address.
  • At least one locationWhere the company operates.
  • Contract vehiclesThe contracts you hold, such as GSA or NASPO, or a declaration that you hold none.
  • Compliance certificatesCurrent certificates on file, such as ISO 9001, or a declaration that you hold none.
  • Export controlsYour ITAR answer, with your DDTC registration letter or a declaration that you are not a registrant, and your own EAR classification statement.

Then 6 checks are read from official sources, each with the date it was read. A check that fails stops the request; one a person must look at waits for our team.

  • UEI active in SAM.govYour registration status and expiry, read by UEI.
  • CAGE code matches SAM.govFor a company located in the US.
  • No active federal exclusionThe SAM.gov exclusions list, read by UEI.
  • No confirmed sanctions or export-list matchUS, UK, EU and UN lists. A name that only looks alike goes to a person, never counts against you.
  • Claimed set-asides corroboratedAgainst your SAM.gov record, including SBA certifications as recorded there.
  • No linked NIJ model SuspendedOnly for models that are on an NIJ list. Not being listed is not a finding.
What it means

What the credential is, and is not

Earned, never bought

No plan buys it and no advertising changes it. It is a status our team grants after review: general listings show it first and buyers can filter on it, while a search for a specific name or model still puts that match first, and comparisons never change.

Valid for 12 months

Renewal is a new review of the same 12 requirements and 6 checks.

Suspended if your standing changes

It is suspended the same day if SAM.gov shows an active exclusion on your UEI, or a sanctions or export-list entry is confirmed by an identifier. A name that only looks alike never suspends it. Our team can also suspend it, and the mark comes off your profile.

Anyone can check it

Each credential has a number, and the credential checker on ArmorList shows whether it is current.
