What it pays for
Equipment, training and technology, including body armor at any threat level, make or model that complies with the latest NIJ ballistic or stab standards, is uniquely fitted and made in the United States. Agencies buying armor need a written mandatory wear policy for uniformed officers on duty and must send it with the claim. Reimbursement grant.

The rules
- Who can apply
- Local law enforcement agencies in communities with a Missouri Blue Shield Program designation. State agencies are not eligible.
- When
- SFY 2027: applications July 1 to July 31, 2026; each eligible applicant receives $28,985.50; performance September 1, 2026 to May 15, 2027.
