The VLTF-IIIA is an NIJ Level IIIA certified body armor with an areal density of 0.91 PSF and a thickness of 0.203 inches. It achieves V50 ballistic test velocities of 1848 FPS against .357 SIG and 1765 FPS against .44 Magnum. This model is designed to meet additional special threat requirements including FBI 4.1, LAPD protocols, and SOCOM fragmentation specifications, indicating its comprehensive protection capability against a wide range of ballistic and fragmentation threats.
