It is certified as Level III In-Conjunction, meaning it is intended to be used with NIJ Level II or higher soft armor for effective protection. The armor features a thickness of .82 inches (20.83 mm) and provides positive buoyancy. It has a multi-curve design for ergonomic fit and is made from UHMWPE and elastomeric urethane foam, with a black polyurea cover for durability. The weights of the plates range from 1.97 to 3.14 lbs., offering a balance of protection and mobility. It is specifically tested to protect against special threats such as 5.56 x 45-mm M193 Ball, 7.62 x 39-mm PS Ball, and 7.62 x 51-mm M80 FMJ, under conditions set by a modified version of the NIJ Standard 0101.04.
