The MD-101-IIIA is an NIJ Level IIIA certified body armor with an areal density of 1.23 PSF and a thickness of 0.275 inches. It achieves V50 ballistic test velocities of 1796 FPS for .357 SIG and 1568 FPS for .44 Magnum. This model is designed to address special threats as outlined by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and includes protection against 2, 4, 16, 64 grain sizes, as well as RCC 17 grain fragmentation, offering comprehensive defense against a variety of ballistic and fragmentation threats.
