DuPont™ Kevlar® XD S002 is a Kevlar® uni-directional product with superior performance than typical Aramid UD 4-ply in the market. It offers advanced protection for regular ballistic threats and it can be considered when conceiving lighter, more affordable or higher performing vests. Kevlar® XD S002 delivers superior performance and it can be combined with other materials with reduced number of layers-resulting in the superior balance of light-weight, high performance and lower cost soft ballistic solutions. The product construction is as follows: Uni-directional composite sheets cross-plied 0°/90°/0°/90° and sold in rolls. Kevlar® XD S002 has been tested in accordance with NIJ06 tumbling protocol.
